Perro Aguayo Jr. is the one that died from that Rey Mysterio drop kick yeah? That was an odd one, and tragic. From what I'd read, they'd said that the impact had broke 3 vertebrae and that it'd killed him instantly. Feel sorry for Mysterio, even though I can't stand the guy, as he has to live with being told that his kick killed him. Something had to be wrong with the guys back previously though, surely? I can't imagine a drop kick from someone Rey's size could break 3 vertebrae on a perfectly healthy spine. That or Rey is exceptionally unlucky.
Dusty's one was sad, especially with regards to Cody and Dustin. One that really affected the whole roster from top to bottom. Was almost as bad as when Eddie died - although I think it'd take something extraordinary to top that one for sadness, that Raw was fucking brutal to watch and so, so sad. Still, Dusty's one appeared to make practically everyone in professional wrestling sad.
So many big names died this year. Can't remember a year recently where so many big names passed

We lost some of the best this year. I was really gutted to hear about Dusty and Rowdy especially.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
Dusty Rhodes – A master of a wrestling mind and a promo that was rarely rivalled. Enormous personality and a wonderful charismatic guy. Influenced the present and future wrestlers at NXT with his knowledge & wisdom. A big loss to the wrestling business.

Roddy Piper – Another guy who could talk and talk and talk. An anarchic personality inside and outside the ring. Where the rowdy one started and stopped, the lines were always too close to call.

Verne Gagne – A wrestling master, amateur and professional who could hang with anyone. Promoted & owned the AWA for 30 years bringing through the biggest names in wrestling. Trained a who's who of legends. Flair, Steamboat, The Andersons, The Hennigs, The Bruiser, Sheik & Backlund.

Nick Bockwinkel – A wrestler with a lot of style & grace. Cut an arrogant figure who was immaculately dressed and could eloquently cut a promo. He was a smooth mat technician who became an AWA mainstay.

Buddy Landel – The self proclaimed Nature Boy. A very good wrestler and talker during the territory years. Folklore suggests he was a shoe-in to win the NWA world title until he fell out with Jim Crockett.

Tommy Rogers – One of my favourite tag-team wrestlers. Rogers had the distinction of wrestling in WCW, WWF & ECW. He was always in shape and had one of the best drop-kicks in wrestling. He also invented the Tommy-Knocker, a move Christian would adopt and call it The Unprettier.

Perro Aguayo Jr. - This may be the saddest death in wrestling this year due to Aguayo Jr. being at the top his game and being a main event star in AAA & Mexico. A second generation wrestler and extremely talented, AAA have hugely suffered due to his loss.
