Looked Ordinary? He got the most assists in Europe last season and was easily man of the match in the Champions League final, which included Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo. They don't make him look ordinary at all, it just means that he doesn't have as much focus on him.

Yeah, that's what I meant. He looks ordinary because he doesn't have the superstar price-tag and so on until now. I wasn't questioning his effectiveness, I agree with you.

Man Utd are terrible in transfers. Di Maria isn't worth £60m especially as he's surplus and Real want to get rid of him. They've bought 2 left sided players, potentially 3 if you include Blind who can play LB or DM. Spent £43m in the process on those. Nani has gone on loan to Sporting as part of the Rojo deal and Utd are still paying his wages. No cultivation on the weak central defence and insistent on playing this 3-5-2 formation with players who struggle on 4-4-2.

Not to mention buying so many players who play in Rooneys position for so much money. Kagawa, Felliani and Mata not to mention Januzaj is best there and Di Maria can player their also. Then you go and extend Rooney's contract and make him captain, he's never gonna fit on the same team as Rooney and RVP.

They're looking to offload Kagawa & Felliani. Di Maria will play either on the wing or central midfield according to Van Gaal.

He'll end up on the wing. He's not taking attacking midfield over Rooney and Mata.

United (at the minute) don't play with a wing.

Xabi Alonso to Bayern for £5m seems like good business. Him & Schweinsteiger in the centre for Munich will be a stronghold.

Alex Song to a West Ham on a season loan looks like a good move.

Harry Redknapp's mission to bankrupt another team is coming on nicely. They're closing in on Lassana Diarra who was on 80k a week for Lokomotiv Moscow.

Man Utd have bought Daley Blind for £14m which seems a decent price.

The Guardian published the wages of some of Utd's players, no wonder the shit ones won't leave.

Danny Welbeck, £80,000 a week
Nani, £115,000 a week
Ashley Young, £115,000 a week
Javier Hernández, £88,000 a week
Anderson, £80,000 a week
Shinji Kagawa, £70,000 a week
Marouane Fellaini, £70,000 a week

Incredible. Ashley Young and Anderson, the pure definition of shit Man Utd players, make £195,000 a week between them.

I think it is bad long term planning. They sold Toni Kroos who could have slot right in next to Schweinsteiger as the passing midfielder, is younger and in my opinion a better player and after the injury crisis, they panic buy Alonso who is 33 in a couple months, is on the decline and is on higher wages than what Kroos wanted.

Alonso isn't a bad player by any sense but Real Madrid has won out on the transfer dealings between the two clubs.

He's there because Martinez & Thiago are injured, they're not building the team around him. Alonso is a far better holding midfielder than Kroos who's main asset is to attack and playmake (same as Modric) with his excellent passing ability. They both have two different midfield roles, its not like Kroos was the only attacking option Bayern have.

LMAO on the decline?! Remind me of the score when Real faced Bayern in the Champions Leagues semi's 4 months ago.

There is no injury crisis, they have two midfielders injured one long term, one short term. They have plenty of cover with Lahm, Rode, Alaba, Højbjerg, Alonso & Gaudino.

The big news on transfer deadline day is that Man Utd are set to sign Falcao on loan with a view to signing him at the end of the season for around £60m.

Meh. Falcao is overrated.

I'm not that bothered that we didn't get Falcao, but I was really hoping we'd get someone. Looks like Negredo is on the way out, that's a bad sign.

Apparently Man City are in talks with Swansea over a £30m move for Bony.

Bony is decent, but not 30m decent. Would've been better sticking with Negredo...

Right now he's worth 50 million to us. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we'll have Aguero and Dzeko back, but struggling like that against Sheffield Wednesday doesn't fill me with optimism for some of our upcoming fixtures.

In a couple of weeks you'll have Aguero, Dzeko and Bony back... as he's off to the ACON. That's why I don't get this deal at all... yeah he's a good striker, but City need one because at the moment theirs are all injured. So signing a guy that won't be around for a month just seems pointless. Might as well sign a guy that can help out now whilst you need the help.

Soooo, everyone is agreed with me that they would've been better sticking with Negredo... 😉

Yeah! I have no idea why they chose Negredo to get rid of. There's the thing about the fair play rules, but surely they could have cut another foreigner.

Bony going to Africa does make this deal make even less sense. Especially since Toure is going too. We need more goal scorers! Milner got lucky, we can't rely on him and Lampard.

I read in the paper today that the Bony deal would be pay as you play. So I doubt it will happen now because he won't get a game come March.

City are getting all their players onto pay as you play deals. Lower basics with huge bonuses when they play. Great way of getting round FFP rules.

Just wish we'd signed Adebayor to that kind of contract...

Looks like the deal will be £25m not £30m. Swansea are also meant to have offered him to Chelsea who have said no.
