The Blue Print

So last night I got the idea that I should try to get some wrestlers to interview when I saw a guy comment on a post in a Facebook group I am in. About how he was a pro wrestler who wrestled out of Alaska. So today I got the pleasure of interviewing the "Gentleman" Jack Windsor who wrestlers for a promotion called NSA Wrestling, you can find them on Facebook. Also you can add Jack Windsor and help spread the word.

So let's start off by telling us a little about yourself

Born and raised in England spent the first 19 years of my life in a little town called Widnes it's close to Liverpool and Manchester. My family moved to Alaska around that time I finished college and followed them a year later I've been in Alaska ever since which is now 11 years.

If you're from England you would fit in with a lot of our forum members! So how long have you been in the wrestling business?

It'll be two years in July. Made me debut in the November of that year

Where did you start training? There can't be much out that way in Alaska for people who want to be a wrestler.

Yeah and so I thought. Me and a friend heard about a promotion called nfwa running a show in Wasilla and half as fans and half as we thought it would be horrible and give us a laugh we went to the show. We both got shocked at the level at which these guys performed. They had a show in may with Adam Pearce. that four of us went to watch an it was fantastic we talked to one of the wrestlers about how do we train and in late June we talked to the trainer and a few of us started training in July.

Who is trainer there? Anyone we our members might know?

No most likely not. He wrestled down in Tennessee and has been wrestling for 15 years. When Adam Pearce came up to the state he was super impressed with the trainer and his methods.

That means a lot coming from Adam Pearce, I've always liked his stuff, he's been around a long time. Hopefully he will get his due someday. So how often do you wrestle and I'm assuming it's a part time thing at the moment.  What do you think your future has in store

Yeah I got some hands on training with Adam Pearce the night of my debut in a seminar he did based of the dusty Rhodes training methods so that was a huge deal. He actually helped come up with my name and a move that I use. I think he's happy training down in nxt. We do a show a month up in Alaska which I help book and run. NSA wrestling (no strings attached). As far as the future goes my major one is to wrestle in England just so my family can see me.

So getting into your character now, what's your name and style of wrestling ?

Gentleman Jack Windsor. Style is powerhouse high impact. Slow methodical pace. Which in a wrestling world of 90mph sets me apart. The logic being if jack Windsor body slams you. You stay down. So much in fact that I normally deadlift them up off the mat and slam them again. I am adding more of the old school British wrestling to the character Johnny saint chain wrestling.

So who are some of your favorites to work with up there?

I think the nice thing about us and what sets us apart form the lower 48 is that we have 14 people training and putting together these shows. Every weekend everyone shows up to train from the vets to the trainees and we teach, learn and respect everybody in that ring. I had a great number 1 contenders match with cannonball Burt Ringo. Now I'm really enjoying working with the younger guys. I was excited to be the opponent for the debuting phoenix kid. Nice thing is I feel I can get in the ring with anyone up here and have a great match that the fans will love.

Sounds like you have a nice run promotion up there. How much traveling is involved? Do you guys go all over Alaska or a general region?

We have gone a couple places the Alaska state fair grounds just did a relay for life charity event which we performed at. We've done a show in homer Alaska. We run the monthly storyline show in Palmer at a old train depot. Great place for sound. The outside talent we've booked love our crowd and the noise that the place generates.

Okay, I'll ask you one final question before I let you on your way! Who were some of your influences that made you want to , lace up some boots?

It's funny when wrestling I never looked at guys and said I wanna do what they do. It was like I just wanted to do it. I was more into the moments created in the ring. The emotion is what made me a fan its the reason I am still a fan its the reason why I'm a wrestler its the reason I love coming up with finishes and booking. To sit back and hear and watch and get to say I helped do that is special.

On that note, thanks for talking to us Jack Windsor, you were a true gentlemen! Is there anything else you would like to add?

Yeah just look for NSA wrestling on facebook like the page. Friend request jack Windsor on facebook help Windsor's army grow

I will share the page on our Facebook page! Hopefully some day when you are the champion of the world you will remember 4wforums.com 🙂 Thank you again!

On a side note, I would have ask him some questions about some cool wrestling stories like wrestlers tend to have. But I encouraged him to join the boards and I hope he does. He can share some more stuff!

Awesome. It's quite cool to hear from wrestlers no matter what level they're at - all different experiences and shit. Very cool to read, and it's an amazing name as well - so British! I love it!

Yeah. I hope he signs up, I think I forgot to mention to him that half of our members are from across the pond. On a side note, I want to do more. I'm sure my interview skills will start to improve over time too.
