4CW Presents… Storm Front: WAR V
December 31, 2022
Live from MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las Vegas, NV

===

Carson: The following contest is a singles match scheduled for one fall!

”Bad News” by Aries hits the PA system. Richard Estevez steps out onto the stage, ready for his re-rescheduled match with Quentin Cosmo.

Carson: Introducing first, from Orange County, California, weighing in at 220lbs… RICHARD … ESTEVEEEEZ!!

Phoenix: What is this, the third time Estevez has tried to get this match? Well, I have it on good authority Cosmo is here tonight and this match is actually happening!
Jeffrey: I just hope he doesn’t mess with time tonight. I could do without the nosebleeds.

Carson: And his opponent, from The Wider Universe, weighing in at 217lbs… QUENTIIIIN … COSMO!!

Cosmo comes out complete with a time travel helmet and belt.

Phoenix: Well, I can assure you all that due to 4CW Management putting their foot down, while Cosmo may be decked out in his usual time travelling kit, all technology has been deactivated!
Jeffrey: Good! I don’t fancy a nosebleed tonight!

Richard Estevez vs Quentin Cosmo

The match was a spectacle of athleticism and cunning. Estevez, known for his technical skills, kept Cosmo on the defensive with a series of well-executed holds and takedowns. Cosmo, on the other hand, displayed an uncanny ability to anticipate Estevez’s moves, as if he knew what was coming before it happened.

As the match progressed, the referee took a hard hit and was momentarily dazed, providing Cosmo with the opportunity he needed. In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, Cosmo seemed to vanish from the ring, only to reappear behind Estevez, catching him off-guard. The crowd gasped, unsure of what they had just witnessed.

Taking full advantage of the confusion, Cosmo rolled up Estevez for a pin. The referee, recovering just in time, counted the pinfall.

Roberts: Is your nose bleeding, Jeffrey?
Jeffrey: No, why?
Roberts: One has to wonder, has Cosmo cheated by bending time itself, or was it merely a trick of the light just then?
Jeffrey: I didn’t see anything!
Phoenix: The debate will rage on, but the record books would show a victory for Quentin Cosmo.

Carson: Here is your winner… QUENTIIIIN … COOOOSMO!!

Phoenix: Well, he was finally made to face Richard Estevez one on one in the ring - but Cosmo still somehow came out on top.
Roberts: Estevez will not be happy about this - and I doubt this is over!

Cosmo is already halfway up the ramp celebrating while Estevez is seething in the ring and we go backstage.

Rhys Cain is standing backstage with Gabriel Crowe, ready to be interviewed.

Crowe:  Hello everyone! I am Gabriel Crowe joined right now by Hall of Famer Rhys Cain. Cain, I just wanted to ask you about Seren Mali - -

Cain: No. This interview is over.

Cain storms off and Crowe looks simply astounded as he shrugs as we cut to a break.

===

We cut backstage once again where Gabriel Crowe is now standing with Dirk Meyer and Senecca! Interestingly enough, Dirk Meyer is dressed to compete.

Crowe: Dirk Meyer, Senecca - we have to ask - since you lost your match versus Xavier Avana where you put your career on the line, Dirk - how are you back?

Meyer: Well, it’s really simple Gabriel - I went back on my word. Now there was nothing that contractually obligated me to retire as a competitor and I was going mad as a referee, so I’m hereby immediately reinstating myself on the active roster - but I do feel bad for going back on my word, so I haven’t gone unpunished.

Crowe looks confused, so Meyer continues. Meyer pulls a wad of papers from his back pocket.

Meyer: You see, this is my new 4CW contract. And it stipulates that my contract will remain active… so long as I keep winning. There’s a clause in here that says two consecutive losses will constitute an immediate and contractual termination from 4CW.

Crowe: OK, I guess - so my next question would be, what is your goal?

Meyer: Crowe, I’m so glad you asked - though, it should be quite obvious - I’m here to beat the best, I’m here to win titles, I’m here to dominate with my best friend Senecca and PROVE why we are Hall of Famers! And to prove this isn’t just a run to pad out my win-loss record, this first match tonight will be against ANOTHER 4CW Hall of Famer!

Crowe: Who’s that?

Meyer smirks.

Meyer: Watch the following match and find out.

Meyer and Senecca leave the interview area as we cut back to the ring for the following match introductions.

Carson: The following contest is a singles match scheduled for one fall!

The arena lights dim and the crowd buzzes with anticipation. Suddenly, the opening notes of their theme song blast through the speakers, and a spotlight illuminates the entrance ramp where S&M stand, larger than life.

Tonight, they’ve chosen to pay homage to the iconic video game duo, Mario and Luigi, with Meyer as the spry and plucky Mario, and Senecca as the taller and more robust Luigi. Meyer’s outfit is a vibrant red and blue, complete with a faux mustache and a cap emblazoned with the letter ‘M’. Senecca’s attire mirrors his partner’s, in green and blue, his ‘L’ cap sitting atop his head.

Carson: Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Senecca, from Valhalla, New York, weighing in at lbs, 4CW HALL OF FAMER… DIRK … MEYEEEER!!

Midway down the ramp, they pause for their signature move: synchronised jumping jacks that end with them both pretending to hit invisible blocks overhead, from which they ‘collect’ golden coins. The crowd cheers as pyrotechnics explode, simulating the video game effect.

Reaching the ring, Meyer vaults over the ropes with surprising agility for his size, while Senecca steps over the top rope with a grin. They pose back-to-back in the center of the ring, fists clenched in victory, as the lights return to normal and their music fades, leaving the fans cheering wildly for the entertaining duo.

The arena falls into a hush of anticipation, the lights dimming to a focused spotlight on the entrance ramp. “Little Green Men” by Project 86 hits the PA system.

Supreme strides out, his confident smirk visible even from a distance, embodying the very essence of his ego, which he wears like a championship belt. He’s dressed in a sleek, custom-made robe that glimmers with every flash of the strobe lights, each sequin catching the light to spell out “Supreme” across the back.

As he makes his way down the ramp, Supreme takes his time, soaking in the adulation of the crowd, pointing at fans with a knowing nod, as if acknowledging their recognition of his greatness. He pauses to flex and wink at the camera, giving the audience at home a taste of his charismatic arrogance.

Reaching the ring, Supreme climbs the steel steps with deliberate steps, each one a testament to his storied career. He wipes his boots on the apron—tradition and respect for the craft—and then steps through the ropes with the ease of someone who knows every inch of the squared circle.

Carson: And his opponent, from Supremeville, USA, weighing in at 240lbs… SUPREEEEEEME!!

Dirk Meyer w/ Senecca vs Supreme

The match starts with the two Hall of Famers circling each other, trying to find an opening. Supreme makes contact and transitions quickly into a side headlock. Meyer quickly escapes and sends Supreme to the ropes. Supreme comes back and Meyer ducks down. On the rebound again and Meyer leapfrogs. Third time round, Meyer goes for a clothesline, Meyer ducks under and hits a German Suplex! Two count!

The match is a whirlwind of athleticism and strategy. Supreme and Meyer are locked in a fierce exchange, each strike echoing through the arena. Supreme gains the upper hand with a perfectly executed neckbreaker. Meyer attempts to retaliate with a suplex, but Supreme counters, landing another neckbreaker followed by a reverse DDT, showcasing his technical prowess.

Supreme then targets Meyer’s back with a series of calculated strikes and holds, demonstrating his methodical approach to the match. The battle spills outside the ring, where Meyer, driven by desperation, hurls Supreme into the barricade with a resounding crash.

Back in the ring, Meyer seizes a moment of momentum with a powerful spinebuster. However, Supreme responds with a relentless series of clotheslines, determined to regain control. Meyer cleverly reverses a corner attack, surprising Supreme with a tiger suplex that nearly ends the match, but Supreme kicks out at two.

Meyer, sensing an opportunity, ascends to the top rope and delivers a devastating diving DDT. Supreme, however, is not down for the count. He fights back valiantly, sending Meyer to the ropes and landing a massive dropkick in the corner. With Meyer reeling, Supreme locks in the cloverleaf, but Meyer’s resilience shines through as he escapes and counters with a dropkick of his own.

The intensity rises as Meyer applies a bearhug, squeezing the fight out of Supreme. But Supreme’s will is unbreakable, and he powers out, climbing to the top rope to execute a diving neckbreaker. The crowd counts along, ONE … TWO … but at the last moment, SENECCA, the cunning manager, places Meyer’s foot on the rope, forcing the referee to call for a rope break.

In the ensuing confusion, Meyer capitalises, striking Supreme with his The Eclipse!! The referee counts, ONE … TWO … THREE!

Carson: Here is your winner… DIRK MEYER!!

The arena was alive with cheers as the quirky duo engaged in a playful celebration, mimicking the iconic video game characters’ victory dance. They took turns leaping into the air, pretending to smash blocks and collect coins, much to the delight of the fans.

Phoenix: Well, we can’t say it’s exactly a clean victory… but S&M sure are entertaining the fans.
Roberts: I guess… that’s good?

Rane vs Seren Mali

In her debut match, Seren Mali steps into the ring with a calm confidence, facing off against the formidable Rane. The match begins, and Rane immediately asserts her physical advantage, using her weight to push Mali around the ring, attempting to smother her spirit and control the pace of the match.

Despite Rane’s initial dominance, Mali’s resilience shines through. She quickly adapts and counters, taking Rane down with an electrifying hurricanrana that shifts the momentum in her favor. Mali capitalizes on this turn of events, executing a smooth Sunset Flip that further disorients her opponent.

With the crowd rallying behind her, Mali builds a powerful sequence of offense, delivering a series of slingblades that leave Rane reeling. Each move is more precise than the last, and after the third slingblade, the arena senses the impending climax.

Mali calls upon her signature move, the Killswitch, which she has aptly named Dim Mwg Heb Dan. She executes it with flawless technique, and the referee slides into position. The crowd counts in unison, ONE… TWO… THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner… SEREN.. MALI!!

Mali starts to celebrate when she is interrupted by Rhys Cain, who appears on stage with a mic. The music fades.

Cain: I.. I've come out here because I have to address this. Yes, as Serena told the world last month, she is my eldest: my daughter. As you can imagine it was a shock for me when my mystery opponent was revealed to be my daughter and I still have so many questions.

Mali shrugs inside the ring welcoming the questions.

Cain: For one, why are you called Seren Mali? Why aren't you using your birth name Serena Cain? But more importantly, since when did you want to be a pro wrestler? You've never shown any interest. Why didn't you come to me to train you? And who DID train you?

Mali looks perplexed as Cain continues…

Cain: And despite all that, what are you doing? You're 17 years old. This industry will tear you apart -

Seren: Stop -

Cain stops talking as Seren finally speaks up.

Seren: Stop trying to make this about me. Because this is not about me. For once, this is ACTUALLY about you. Yes, I'm 17 years old. Around the same age YOU were when you entered the business with, would you believe it, a proclivity for death matches. I'm not that bloodthirsty young kid, I'm just a pro wrestler. I will fight whoever, whenever, but I don't need chairs and barbed wire for fulfilment.

Cain takes the blow without comment.

Seren: Why didn't I come to you for training? I think you already know the answer to that one, Dad. You weren't there. You haven't been there since 2014 when Carstein broke you. People remember you turning into what you are just a few years ago but I've seen it a lot longer. People think that’s in the past. People think that’s an old chapter of your life, an arc you evolved from… but that’s not the truth. What Carstein did scarred you forever. I saw the wound when it was fresh and I still see it now it's been cauterised. I've seen how you've trained. Your students are trained through fear and sure that can get you so far - but none of them truly revere you. They either rebel against you or puppet what they think you want to hear. I see it more clearly than everyone else and when I decided to join 4CW I decided I had two goals:

Cain lowers the mic, clearly curious what Seren has to say.

Seren: One, take my place in the history of 4CW as a second generation superstar who did it without the legacy of my family name. And two, save my Dad from his own trauma.

Cain lifts the mic again suddenly.

Cain: Alright, enough of this. I'm not playing mind games with you Serena. You're seventeen. You don't know… Anything. My sweet girl, you never will. Go home.

Cain drops the mic and walks backstage without another word. Seren Mali shakes her head in the ring, disappointed at the expected outcome.

Phoenix: Well, that was tense and uncomfortable.
Jeffrey: I thought you'd be frothing at the prospect of the falling apart of Cain's life.
Phoenix: I won't be disingenuous. I hate Rhys Cain. But there's a totally innocent girl in there who clearly wants nothing more than a Dad who, by her own account, died almost a decade ago. In a weird way, I relate to Cain - but because of that, I am frustrated at seeing myself make the same mistakes he has, and finding myself not so much better, which not only makes me hate him more, but also makes me feel even more sympathy for that poor child.
Jeffrey: A simple 'not quite' would have sufficed there, Scotty.
Phoenix: I go above what suffices, Ray, and that's why I'm the play by play.
Jeffrey: Touché.
Phoenix: And stop calling me Scotty.

We cut to a break as Seren Mali leaves the ring, looking crestfallen and disappointed.

Phoenix: And now it's time for our main event for a WAR match so big we couldn't fit it in this arena. So for our special WAR GAMES match, we are off to the WAR PIT with Leon Teller for match introductions!

The camera cuts to another, much smaller arena packed with maybe two to three thousand people. This elite crowd is hyped for the big match.

Teller: Welcome… TO THE WAAAAAAAAAAR PIT!! The following contest is the FIVE ON FIVE WAR MATCH and it is for the 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP! And this year, it's WAR GAMES! The rules are simple. The WAR structure will surround the two rings. There are no disqualifications or count outs. The match will start with the two leaders entering the ring. The team with the coin toss gets the advantage! Every few minutes, a member from each team will enter WAR GAMES. After all members of both teams enter, WAR GAMES OFFICIALLY BEGINS! The first competitor to gain a pinfall or submission will be declared the winner and the corresponding team leader will leave the 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!!

”Spiders on the wall” by Magnolia Bayou hits the PA system. The fog fills the stage and Dark Lotus appears on stage, absent of his usual posse but instead flanked by his WAR team.

Teller: Introducing first, the challenger, being accompanied by his team "TOP GUN" TOMMY YOUNG, XAVIER AVANA, PHIL MCGROIN AND 4CW UNDISPUTED WORLD CHAMPION BRIAN WHITE, from Devil's Back Bone, Louisiana, weighing in at 315lbs… DAAAAAAAAAAARK … LOTUS!!

The team makes their way over to the first cage, where the leader Dark Lotus continues down to the ring.

Phoenix: And we should remind everyone that even though this is a 5-on-5 WAR match, the Universal Title is on the line. Whichever team wins, their leader, either Dark Lotus or Jon Viper will walk out with the Universal Title!

”Am I Savage?” by Motorhead hits the PA system. Jon Viper, flanked by The Snake Pit, make their way to the opposite cage, while Viper walks down to the ring.

Teller: And their opponents, the champion, being accompanied by his team ANTHONY "BIG TOWER" ROBINSON, MARK MAYHEM, WANDA FROST AND REGGIE ATEBIT, THE SNAKE PIT, from Madison, Wisconsin, weighing in at 230lbs… he is the 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION… 4CW HALL OF FAMER… JOOOOOOOOON… VIPER!!

4CW Universal Championship
WAR Match
Special WAR GAMES Edition
Dark Lotus, Brian White, Xavier Avana, Phil McGroin, Tommy Young
Vs
Jon Viper ©, Mark Mayhem, Anthony Robinson, Wanda Frost, Reggie Atebit

Phoenix: Both team leaders and the two men who could potentially walk out of here tonight the Universal Champion will start this match - and rightly so, I think!
Jeffrey: I’m inclined to agree. You bring your men to war - you’d best be on the frontline ready to go with the rest of them!

The match commences with Jon Viper and Dark Lotus, representing their respective teams, initiating an all-out brawl that spans both rings. They exchange fierce strikes and nasty forearms, setting a relentless pace for the conflict ahead. As the timer ticks down, Mark Mayhem joins the fray on Team Viper’s side, tipping the scales as he and Viper double-team Lotus, delivering a punishing DDT and hurling him into the unforgiving steel cage.

The onslaught continues unabated until Lotus’ ally, the 4CW World Heavyweight Champion Brian White, storms into the ring, instantly altering the dynamics of the match. White, fresh and fueled by determination, quickly asserts his dominance, dispatching Mayhem with a devastating Pavement Slam and neutralising Viper with a thunderous Powerbomb. Lotus, rejuvenated by White’s arrival, rises to join the counterattack, taking down Mayhem with a formidable chokeslam.

The battle intensifies as Anthony Robinson enters on behalf of Team Viper. He introduces an arsenal of steel chairs to the ringside area before diving into the action with a spear that floors White. Robinson then strategically lodges a chair between the ropes, propelling White headfirst into the metal, leaving him bloodied and battered.

Phil McGroin is next to join, representing Team Lotus. Armed with a kendo stick and an additional chair, he unleashes a barrage of strikes on Viper and Mayhem. However, Robinson wrests control, seizing the chair from McGroin and delivering a brutal powerbomb onto the unforgiving steel.

Frost makes her entrance for Team Viper, bringing with her two tables that soon become instruments of destruction. Team Viper, now with a numerical advantage, systematically dismantled Team Lotus, culminating in Viper powerbombing Lotus through a table set up in the centre of the second ring.

Xavier Avana, the fourth member of Team Lotus, rushes into the match, only to be overwhelmed by the dominant Team Viper. Mayhem, wielding a kendo stick, unleashes a vicious assault on Avana, further tipping the scales in Team Viper’s favor.

The final member of Team Viper, Reggie Atebit, enters the ring, and the beatdown of Team Lotus reaches a crescendo. Reggie executes a breathtaking crossbody from the top of the cage onto White, while Viper, Frost, and Robinson continue to decimate their opponents with their signature moves.

At last, Tommy Young, the final competitor for Team Lotus, arrives, bringing with him two more chairs and a steel pipe, signaling the official start of War Games.

Teller: WAR GAMES HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!

Young immediately makes his presence felt, taking out Viper with the pipe. Despite Frost’s efforts to disarm him, Young maintains his offensive, using the chairs to his advantage and drop kicking one into Robinson’s face. McGroin takes out Reggie with a Fisherman Suplex! Frost lowblows McGroin, taking him out. She then meets Avana, who dives off the turnbuckle with a SWANTON BOMB!!

With the odds initially seemingly insurmountable, Team Lotus begins a valiant comeback. White delivers the Runaway Train on Robinson, Lotus executes a double chokeslam on both Reggie Atebit and Mark Mayhem but Young is taken out with a Fate Sealer from Jon Viper!

The bodies are laying and Lotus and White make their way back to their feet, being the only soldier’s currently standing. Weapons strewn all over both rings, they instead decide to simply meet in the second ring and start swinging wildly at each other!

Phoenix: It’s an all out brawl to the finish, here we go!!

Lotus sets up and takes out Viper with a sidewalk slam! Lotus then sets up for the Last Ride, but Viper breaks out of his grip, thumbs his eye and takes out Lotus with a FATE SEALER!!

Jeffrey: I think Viper has just won WAR GAMES!!

Viper hooks the leg! ONE … TWO … NO!! BRIAN WHITE BREAKS THE PINFALL!

White, crimson mask and all, is about to grab Viper when Robinson comes back into the fight and jumps on top of White. White gets to his feet, Robinson on his shoulders and hits a big Samoan Drop. White then grabs Robinson, and sets him up for the Train Crash! White runs and unleashes the move on Robinson, who lands on STEEL CHAIR! But before White can go for the pin, Viper runs in with step-up enziguri, taking out the World Champion!

Lotus gets up and grabs Viper, but he doesn’t get a chance to attack as Reggie and Mayhem jump him from behind with their own steel chairs. Both of them smack him and allow Viper to set up another Fate Sealer when suddenly, a loud whistle makes them all look up - as TOMMY YOUNG DIVES OFF WITH A CROSSBODY FROM THE TOP OF THE CAGE, taking out The Snake Pit!

It’s a clear path for Lotus, as he sees the enemies laid out and their leader, his mortal enemy, Jon Viper getting back to his feet. Lotus grabs Viper, and falls on his back, lifting his boot up and taking out Viper with COUNT THE LIGHTS!! Lotus hooks the leg! ONE … TWO .. THREE!!

Teller: HERE ARE YOUR WINNERS, TEAM LOTUS!! AND YOUR NEW 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION, DARK… LOOOTUS!!

As the dust settles and the echoes of battle fade, the steel cage rises and the victors of War Games, Team Lotus, remain standing in the rings. The crowd’s cheers fill the arena, a resounding tribute to the warriors who defied the odds.

In the centre of the ring, Dark Lotus stands tall, the fatigue of combat evident in his stance but overshadowed by the triumph in his eyes. His teammates gather around him, their bodies battered but spirits unbroken, sharing in the glory of their hard-fought victory.

With a surge of adrenaline, Dark Lotus lifts the 4CW Universal Championship above his head. The gold glints under the bright lights, a beacon of his resilience and skill. His teammates raise their arms in solidarity, each one basking in the shared success.

As confetti begins to rain down, the ring becomes a canvas of color, encapsulating the jubilation of the moment. Team Lotus, united in victory, takes a lap around the rings, slapping hands with the fans, their cheers creating a symphony of celebration, while Lotus remains in the ring, the cage now raising, holding the title in the air

The image of Dark Lotus, championship held high, is the last thing we see.

Phoenix: It’s been one hell of a year, and Dark Lotus has signed us off by reclaiming the Universal Championship! Join us next year, 2023, for more of the best wrestling promotion in the world, 4 … C … W!!
