MEDIA ADVISORY:
Jeremy Borash, Joseph Park and Grado Teleconference
Three Global Force Wrestling (GFW) personalities will come together for a candid, informative and certainly entertaining Media Teleconference at 1pm ET on Wednesday, July 19.
Jeremy Borash is, of course, a GFW original having worked all 15 years behind the mic. JB was an award-winning radio DJ before moving into the wrestling business with World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He has interviewed literally hundreds of wrestlers over the years and even laced up the boots on July 2nd for a tag-team match at Slammiversary, alongside Joseph Park, “an attorney-turned-wrestler.”
Park and JB teamed at #Slamm15 to tackle the team of Josh Mathews and “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner in, arguably, one of the most entertaining matches of the night, featuring cameo appearances from Shark Boy, Father James Mitchell and Abyss.
Park also of late has been aligned with Grado, the Scottish wrestler who once lost to Robbie E in a Turkey Bowl match, thus was forced to wear a turkey suit. Grado is now looking for love, or at least a date, in all the right and wrong places – with deportation pending. Park is right there, always willing to help Grado, but he hasn’t had a second-date since 1998.
Plus, the weekly GFW Teleconference will include a major “Scoop” about GFW Live Events and more that you will not want to miss.
Topics To Discuss In The Teleconference:
Grado’s favorite foods
Park’s favorite legal cases that he’s LOST over the years
Borash’s not-so-favorite moments in GFW
Will Borash and Park ever team up again and who are their dream opponents
Grado’s little-known ties to the high-dollar world of European soccer, or futbol as they call it overseas
JB reveals who has had the worst breath during an interviewPlan your questions now for the July 19th GFW Media Teleconference…
Nothing there that excites me at all.

Borash’s not-so-favorite moments in GFW
That'll be thrilling since he's only been with GFW for 2 weeks. If they want to move away from the TNA marker, then they shouldn't acknowledge TNA as part of GFW's past. Call it TNA when talking about that. GFW's past should be just the company GFW before they merged with Impact Wrestling/TNA.
I know it's technically their history, since they basically just changed their name... but all they'll do is draw attention to their awful past that they want people to move on from. Just shouldn't mention it really and act like they're starting fresh. Or if they do, reference it as TNA or Impact Wrestling so that there's a distinct break point to show that this is a new direction and not just the same old company that was being run into the ground. People will just keep calling them TNA otherwise.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former TNA Champion Nick “Magnus” Aldis is already finished with GFW.
Magnus reportedly turned down GFW’s latest contract offer, which is why he is no longer with the company, having only re-signed a short while back. As for why Magnus was at the last set of Impact TV tapings, he was there under a handshake deal with GFW to protect the ‘lineage’ of the GFW and to drop it to Alberto El Patron.
The report adds many of the new GFW talent deals requires the talents to give GFW 10% of revenue they make outside of GFW, and it also gives them no percentage of merchandise bearing their likeness which is sold directly by GFW.
Magnus is a one-time TNA World Champion, who signed with the company back in 2008. In 2015, he was one of the first talents to sign with Global Force Wrestling when the promotion was announced.
Man that type of contract sounds like BULLSHIT. 10 percent of the revenue they make outside of the company and they don't get any money for their merchandise that is sold by GFW? What the hell!

10% of revenue from outside work? Fuck that, they have no right to claim that at all. And nothing for merchandise? What a load of shit. No wonder Magnus left. Could see more going for these reasons. Although the 10% thing could be to try and dissuade them from wrestling elsewhere whilst still under contract... better still would be to just say they can't do that, like WWE do. No merchandise revenue is complete bullshit though. Can imagine there are a few unhappy guys there because of that.
Can understand the 10% thing. Bit annoying, but having seen wrestlers over here when they were called TNA, they used the TNA name to try and sell it. "TNA superstar ... ". So 10% to use the name, which they likely will do in my experience of seeing it.
No merchandise revenue for likeness though is bollocks. Would be pissed at that.

As noted, GFW executive Dutch Mantell conducted a media conference call last week, in which WZ participated.
During the call, which you can listen to in full above, In Ring Pop asked Mantell if GFW has any interest in signing former WWE World Champion Jack Swagger, and Mantell confirmed there is mutual interest. Mantell furthered that he keeps in consistent touch with Swagger, and that while Swagger is enjoying his time off after all the years in WWE, fans could see him in GFW soon
Because why not? Can't say this wasn't predicted. The thing that sucks about people like Jack Swagger is that their names are trade marked by the WWE and they really aren't big enough stars to be recognizable with different names. Say you hear a radio ad and hear Aron Rex on it. Do you think of Damien Sandow? No, you're probably thinking. Who the fuck is Aron Rex?

According to PWInsider.com, Alberto El Patron’s suspension is believed to be ending in time for a return at the Destination X live TV show next week on August 17th. Alberto, the current GFW World Champion, was cleared by Orlando Police a couple of weeks ago in his domestic incident involving Paige, but still remains under suspension and missed this past weekend’s live events in New York.
His suspension should have been revoked when he was cleared by the police to be honest. I guess it doesn't really matter though, he'll be around by the time GFW starts taping again. Could have helped to have the champ of the company at the live events though, which I guess drew really small crowds.
