TNA, 6 sides or 4

TNA are asking fans whether they want to return to the 6 sided ring or stick with 4. What does everyone think they should do?

Personally, they should stick with 4. The 6 sided ring was cool for a while, but wrestlers seem to prefer the 4 sides and it's safer. Better angles for balancing, and it's a ring that they're all used to, especially for new guys.

Plus, you'd think that TNA have more pressing concerns that the shape of their wrestling ring. Sort out the product first, try to actually make some money. Changing the amount of sides on their ring won't help, it's all about the product they produce.

Of course there are bigger problems than the ring, but the six sides gave them a different look. I think they should go back to the two entrances too, I liked that. It's not going to matter unless they deal with more important problems, but it's not going to hurt.

Personally, I like the 6 sides.  It's different, it does add to the product and it moves them away again from trying to be a WWE clone.  There were some amazing matches in the 6 sided ring, and as far as balance and being used to the ring, yeah, for the new guys, it'll be different, but they are professional, so they should be able to take it in their stride.

I think this is a step in the right direction, they're listening to their fans again and hopefully, they'll be able to pull back some of the distance they lost when Immortal took over...

This!  I love the old TNA set with the two entrance tunnels.  And with the dark arena it looked all "underground" and alternative, something obviously different from WWE.  I do kinda miss watching TNA on Eurosport when they had the 6-sided ring and that set.

It's a cool ring if you never seen AAA or something... those guys seem to make it work out....

i think it's kinda dumb overall... just leave it 4 sided.... the way the ring is shaped and all that isn't going to help tna if they continue to put on mediocre shows and keep losing money as well likely the spike tv deal this fall.... really reminds me of the end of ecw and wcw really... i keep getting this deja vu feeling when i watch tna ( very little) but i read up on it a lot.

Well, the 6 sided ring is coming back. I think it's a mistake myself. Was cool the first time, but after a while I wanted it gone and was glad they brought back the classic 4 sides. This is a step backwards and won't help them make money, which is something they should be concentrating on more than anything.

I have worked inside both 4-sided and 6-sided rings and I don't really have a preference. 4-sided rings are more traditional, 6-sided rings are more fun.

I could have sworn that somebody once said that the ropes in a six sided ring are much tighter therefore much harder on the wrestlers bodies.  Personally though their product just sucks right now. They have the talent but they aren't using it.  having e.y. as the champ with a beard just makes him feel like a poor man's Daniel Bryan to me.

The tighter ropes are apparently better for springboarding, but the wider angle makes them worse to stand on in a corner. The six sided ring is supposed to be a bit stiffer, TNA's is supposed to have support beams right across the middle. But whatever!

The ring is fun too look at I agree.  But it just seems to cut down on usable space and makes things look a bit more akward.  They are in desperation mode right now and they are focusing on the wrong things.  I watched an episode like a month ago and it seemed like Bully Ray delivered a speech that put e.y. over better than e.y. can put himself over.
