Rate-the-movie 25
Works the same as Rate-the-song. Rate from 1-10, 1 being horrible and 10 being brilliant. It's that simple. You can request one movie for the list at a time. So once you're movie goes on the Request List, you can't choose another til it's been posted as a Rate-the-movie. This rule is in place so I don't have a request list 100 films long and so no one person hogs the request list.
RTM 25: -Watchmen (Rhys)
Watchmen is a 2009 American superhero film directed by Zack Snyder, based on the 1986–87 DC Comics limited series of the same name by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. It stars an ensemble cast of Malin Åkerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Patrick Wilson. A dark satirical and dystopian take on the superhero genre, the film is set in an alternate history in the year 1985 at the height of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, as a group of mostly retired American superheroes investigates the murder of one of their own before uncovering an elaborate and deadly conspiracy, while their moral limitations are challenged by the complex nature of the circumstances.
The film's reception has been very polarized, with many critics voicing either strong positive or negative views. The film collected $77,743,688 in foreign box office, bringing its worldwide total to $185,253,487.

Admin and 4CW Head Booker · 5,095 commentsAdmittedly I haven't read the graphic novel but I've seen this movie 3-4 times and I love it. It's long, for sure, and it can get overly complicated, but I have thoroughly enjoyed evert watch. It deserves a strong 9.

Main Event · 734 commentsI love this film! definitely worth the long watch! 9 from me.
Also, let's chuck Lord of the Rings in (rated as one entity). I'm actually surprised no one has done this yet! :-P

I think we should chuck them in seperately. I have plenty to say on all of them. 😋

Main Event · 977 comments8. It's a pretty great film. I'm a fan of the comics and I didn't see why other fans were complaining. Yeah they made a few changes, but panel for panel this is probably the most accurate comic-to-film adaptation that has ever been made.

I have a lot i could say really, but when i hear people say they ruined the movie, changed the ending from the book.. i just kinda laugh.. 1 the movie might be the closest adaption of a graphic novel i have ever seen.... and 2, the ending from the book wasn't much better.
