TNA President Dixie Carter recently spoke with Renjith Ravindran of The Fan Garage during Carter’s recent trip to India, and below are some interview highlights:

On the signing of recently released WWE stars:

“Many believe that our actual roster and their wrestling are best in the business. So we are always on the lookout for new talent. In the last few years, we focused on growing home-grown talent. A lot of new talent like EC III, Rockstar Spud, Eli Drake, and Bram, there are so many and I could go on.

“They’ve grown so much but I think we also did a fantastic job with people like Drew Galloway who was at the WWE and came in and completely relaunched himself. There are definitely some incredibly talented wrestlers on the market right now and some will be available at some part of this year. And I do see ourselves talking to them. I think it would be exciting to bring a few into TNA.”

On rumors of TNA’s financial situation:

“You can’t react to the rumors about the financial situation. That’s the difficulty about being in my position. There’s so much incorrect information out there about the financial situation of TNA. We are putting out some of the best television our company has ever put out and if you watch it you can tell, great things are happening to our company. We just announced some associations in the Middle East, we just announced Vietnam and a lot of similar announcements are rolling out.”

I do believe they have done some good signing from WWE developmental cast offs, EC3 comes to mind big time. I like how Dixie never really actually says anything about the situation of the company. Just says there is alot of incorrect information out there. Then she shifts the conversation in a different direction.

There's no way they're not in trouble financially. So many reports of people not being paid, wrestlers quitting because they're owed money, etc. She doesn't half talk shit.

And to say that many believe that their wrestling is the best in the business? Who are these many? And their roster is the best in the business? She's smoking some good crack by the sounds of it. That or is is just as nuts as I thought. I don't think anyone actually believes that the TNA roster is anywhere near as good as WWE's (and I think WWE's is weaker than it used to be, but it's still massively better than TNA's).

I'm not that interested in what she has to say, but this bit in particular rubbed me the wrong way.

1. They have a good roster, yes, but it's nowhere near the best in the business.
2. EC3 and Bram were both in WWE before TNA. They may be bigger stars in TNA, but that still doesn't make them home grown.

And of course she's going to say there's a lot of wrong information. She won't ever admit that the company has no money... but I don't believe workers who leave TNA are making up money troubles and lack of payment.

Like 5 years ago atleast the TNA roster was better than the WWEs, but no way anymore. She lacks self awareness.

Oh and EC3 and Bram are definitely home grown. They didn't do anything at all in the WWE. They were in developmental lol.

To lose AJ, Samoa Joe, Roode and Aries to name a few, over the past few years, has left them a lot weaker. Absolutely nuts if she can't recognise that. Yes they needed to get rid of some deadwood, but they've also lost a lot of guys that are great and made their roster an awful lot stronger than it is currently - ones that you would definitely not class as deadwood.

You know what is funny, is that they lost most of those people due to their financial situation!  AJ was first, the other followed once they saw he was making more money in japan and the indies

Derrick Bateman was definitely on SmackDown a few times, so he definitely doesn't qualify. I'll give you Bram.

A few times lol You ask most people they wouldn't have even known he was in the E. How can you not call him home grown? No one knows him as Derrick Bateman, everyone knows him as EC3. Now if he was actualy an established star in WWE and not just a guy who appeared a handful of times. Then maybe. EC3 definitely is home grown

Home grown is where they were exposed to the masses. That was WWE.

I admit he is a bigger star in TNA, of course he is. But bigger star doesn't mean home grown. It's like saying Ron Killings was home grown. He became a big star in TNA but was exposed to the masses in WWF as K-Kwik.

I don't know... I think TNA can call EC3 home grown. He's as good as.

He is home grown, he made his name in TNA. Everyone knows him from TNA. No one remembers his WWE stint one bit.
