Another great job Sery. I noticed too, from the match I saw, that NSA do focus on storytelling/psychology more than spots and that's good.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
Seriously do love these. Good favourite wrestlers list as well. I forget about Jamie Noble, but he was great.
Thanks guys , I enjoy doing them, and there is more too come. I love the name Burt Ringo hahaha

Yesterday I got to talk to Burt Ringo from NSA Wrestling and ask him a few questions.
4W forums here with Burt Ringo who wrestles for NSA wrestling out of Alaska. Thank you for taking some time with us. Why don't you start off telling us about your background a bit?
Well I'm from Minnesota but I've spent most of my life here in Alaska. I just recently within the last year and half or so started doing this whole wrestling thing. Which is amazing might I add.
So you are pretty new to the business, where did you start your training?
Right here in Alaska actually went through the same training as Jack Windsor did.
When you first started off, how was it?
So the myth of wrestling, is it real is it fake? Been asked soo many times. I have loved wrestling my whole life and I am not going to lie, when I went into my first training session I thought it wouldn't be that bad. I am here to tell you that it was the hardest physical activity I had ever put my body through and the months after mentally it took me to a diffrent level as well, willing yourself to go to training when you can barely get out of bed was a ordeal (laughs)
What made you want to get into the ring and try it out?
Well you know when you were a kid and you had all these wild and crazy career paths you could choose? Me I was going to be astronaut or a pro wrestler obviously I never went for the whole astronaut thing so when I heard they had a training program right here in Alaska I decided to go check one of there shows and see what it took to at least give it a try. Not many people can live a child hood dream so I guess I just took the opportunity
So tell us a bit about Burt Ringo, what's your gimmick and style of wrestling?
Well my entire name is actually "Cannonball" Burt Ringo I am a "famous" stuntman mostly in my own head.. I tried to model myself after some of my favorite wrestlers such as Jamie Noble, Dean Malenko, Goldust, HBK and a lil Bret Hart Spinkled in there.
You stole my next question right there, about your inspirations. What are your short term and long term goals in the business?
Gosh great question. Probably my number one goal right now is to try and help build Alaska wrestling grow the following up here and such. My pipe dream goal of course is to maybe one day get a WWE tryout, pipe dreams don't always come true but It's a goal none the less. I am actually wrestling for the title belt June 19th so my goal as of today is go out and have the best match I can and make the crowd happy they came to see us
Do you have any plans to make your way to the mainland I guess you could call it there in Alaska and giving other places a try?
I've actually traveled out of state last August I wrestled for SCW out of Washington and another promotion out of Utah. It was a thrill my main goal once I realized I was good enough to actually do this was to go to a state where no one knew me and make the crowd react to what I was doing in the ring. It was an overall success, I learned alot from the guys down there, Rob Love stands out for me he's got a great mind for the buisness he took, gosh about 20 mins just to talk to me back and forth and has since come up here and wrestled a few shows for us. I also would really like to go to the mainland again though, so much to learn in this business!
We are all wondering, where did the name Burt Ringo come from?
To be honest I can only answer half of it with full faith of it being the complete truth. When I started wrestling my hair was long and I looked like a Ringo Starr I guess. So my name when we train is Ringo. The Burt part I believe came from our old promoter. We had the idea for the whole gimmick, but the name had to be something people would wonder about and he nailed it.
So what sets NSA Wrestling apart from other small promotions out there?
I feel like we are almost and older style that alot don't use anymore. I believe we all strive to go out there and tell a story rather than do spot after spot and look cool our trainer really engraved this philosophy in all of us which helps and I also feel that everyone involved with are promotion genuinely is striving to make us reach the crowd in the way that they go home and talk about it if that makes sense.
That makes perfect sense! So a few more questions here before we wrap things up. What would you say is your best match to date?
Man the pressure! I've had the privledge of being in there with alot of good wrestlers. I would say my best match to date would be a toss up I had a really good match with el magnifico in December of 2014, my I think 3rd match. This one holds alot of sentimental value to me because my dad was supposed to had come to see me that day but couldn't make it and ended up passing the next day. The other one was more recent I had number one contenders match with Jack Windsor that I felt was a great story and really good back and forth action that had the crowd leaning on the edge of there seats and I can say no matter what you can feel the excitement from the crowd when your in there!
Judging by the videos I've seen they are quite loud and involved! Do you watch a lot of wrestling on TV still? What are your thoughts on the current state of the industry?
Oh the fans are something else probably the best part of wrestling. I do watch wrestling still I feel that specifically WWE has done a goood job revamping their roster, they have alot of good workers and if used right can really bring it all back to the good all days. I feel wrestling overall has really been getting a good face lift there's alot of great talent out there that make me very jealous I think overall it's in a good spot.
We would love to have you join our forums and share your thoughts with our members about the current product! Before we wrap this up, is there anything else you would like to add?
Well I am not gonna plug my stuff cause I find it cheesy but I'll say if you guys can out there support your local guys as much as possible because. Most of them are working full time jobs and training as much as they can just so they can go out and entertain the people every show. As far as adding me the forums I'd love to be involved with it.
Well Burt Ringo thanks for joining us! Everyone make sure to like NSA wrestling on Facebook and give Burt Ringo an add, just search Burt Ringo!
