So I'm not to familiar with much of what happened with ECW back in the day. Like I know some of the major stuff that happened and the major stars that came out of the promotion. But I'm not too familiar with much else. So this was back when ECW was on TNN I believe. I've never been the biggest fan of ECW and I believe that a lot of the stuff hasn't aged to well. I've been told this era of ECW was when ECW was well past its prime. So for my first ECW PPV review it'll be Anarchy Rulez 2000. Lets get extreme...

Danny Doring and Roadkill defeated The Bad Street Boys (Christian York and Joey Matthews) by pinfall
- Hey this wasn't that bad of a match to kick off the show with. Decent fast paced match to get the crowd into it. I always forget that Joey Matthews was around ECW during this time, often people forget how long he has been in the business now. Christian York never really went on to have much success in the business after ECW did he? I've never really seen Roadkill and Doring wrestle, I wouldn't mind seeing more. Match has a cool suicide dive from both Matthews and York, but that wasn't enough. Doring and Roadkill pick up the win. After the match Simon and Swinger lay out Doring. The theme of this PPV would be outside interference. But that was most matches during this time period in wrestling I guess.

Kid Kash (with Joel Gertner) defeated EZ Money (with Cyrus, Elektra, Julio Dinero and Chris Hamrick) by pinfall
- So a guy name Cyrus and Joel Gertner are supposed to be in a match. Not sure on the whole story line to be honest. Anyways Cyrus says Gertner has to fight his guys in order to get a match. Spike comes out and says that is okay, but Joel doesn't have to be the one to wrestle him. So he picks Kid Kash. So after all that crap, we get the match started. Quick paced match and wow Kid Kash looks so different back then. Also he seems like a star! He's so over with the crowd, I would have liked to see this match go alot longer. It was a pretty fun match while it lasted. Some good chain wrestling in the match. But also there is more interference by Hamrick and Dinero. Anyone ever notice in ECW how every wrestler has like 10 people at ring side for them? Okay maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. Anyways Kid Kash wins with a reverse of a power bomb into a huricanrana. Solid match. I want to see more from Kid Kash.

Joel Gertner defeated Cyrus by pinfall
- I don't even want to say anything about this. This was crap. As expected, like these matches normally are. Joel Gertner wins because the Sandman comes out and helps him. This was so bad. I'd like to forget that I saw it.

Da Baldies (Angel and Tony DeVito) defeated Balls Mahoney and Chilly Willy by pinfall
- Forgettable match here. The only one here that I am really familiar with is Balls Mahoney. But my first impression of these people in the ring is that everyone in this match had nothing going for them at this point.. This match wasn't that good. They did some brawling out in the crowd but it just never really took off. Not much to say. Da Baldies win with multiple chair shots.

Steve Corino (with Jack Victory) defeated C.W. Anderson by pinfall
- Alright now its time for this PPV to start picking up! This would be for the #1 contendership for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Man Steve Corino used to look a lot like CM Punk. I guess I should say CM Punk looks like a young Steve Corino. This match was pretty good, I enjoyed it, two solid works here going at it. It was kind of refreshing after the last two atrocities. Never really have seen CW Anderson wrestle that much, but I was impressed with him. Corino wins by reversing a spinebuster into a Oldschool Expulsion.

The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke) (c) (with Sal E. Graziano) defeated The Unholy Alliance (Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri) (with The Sinister Minister) by pinfall
- This match was pretty short for the tag titles. Whipwreck and Tajiri seem like a very weird team to pair together. Just a standard match here basically. This seemed more like a match that should have been on TV. Against not to familiar with FBI or Mikey Whipwreck. This really isn't a good introduction to them for me.

ECW Television Title
Rhino (c) defeated Rob Van Dam (with Bill Alfonso) by pinfall
- See we could have scrapped a lot of these matches and gaven matches like this way more time. I felt like most of the matches on this show could have been a lot better given more time. Well certain ones. I thought this one was pretty good, they brawled around the ring, RVD did some cool moves with his steel chair. Its crazy how talented and flexible that dude is. They had a brutal spot where Rhyno piledrivers RVD off the apron through a table, that was pretty insane! Rhyno ends the match by putting RVD through another table and another pile driver. For some reason the ref decided to be crooked and do a fast count.. Maybe I missed something. Would have liked to see this given more time. I feel like it could have been really great.

ECW World Heavyweight Championship
Jerry Lynn defeated Justin Credible (c) (with Francine) by pinfall

- I just hear everyone say how bad Justin Credible was and I always wondered why beacuse again I have never really seen him wrestle. This match was a solid affair, but I dont think I could ever buy this dude as a world heavyweight champion of any company. You kind of feel dirty watching him too. I don't know why. This match was the longest match on the show. I'm kind of drawing a blank on the whole match now that I think about it. But I remember it being pretty decent.. I guess I wasn't too into it.  Another ref bump and then the evil ref comes into the ring. Man this evil ref thing seems so random, maybe someone can explain to me what the deal is? Was this an angle that was happening or something? This is the second match where he's come into play. New Jack comes out and gets rid of the ref. Then the match ends with Lynn and Credible trying to get a pile driver on each other, some cool reversals there. But Lynn wins with a piledriver to become the new ECW Champion. After the match the ECW roster comes out to congratulate Jerry Lynn on his win. Lynn tries to say something but they can't get the mic working, so we awkwardly watch them try to get it working for like five minutes until the show goes off the air.

This show was decent, I really don't see myself reviewing a lot of ECW shows. I wish I was more familiar with the talent. I guess the only way I can get familiar with the talent is by watching more though! This was really in the middle. Not great, not crap. It had its moments.

5/10
