TNA Slammiversary - June 12th, 2016

Seen no news about Jeff Hardy... I guess he didn't try and kill himself just trying to top Shane like he said he was going to.

No he didn't but they did some pretty cool stuff. He ended the match with a Swanton Bomb from the turnbuckle through a table with Matt winning. It was a pretty good match!

The PPV as a whole was pretty decent. Probably wasn't worth the money I spent on it though. What PPV is worth 50 bucks now days? The opening X-Division title match was pretty awesome. Eddie Edwards walked away with the belt. Mike Bennet vs. EC3 was probably the match I was most looking forward too and I thought they did a good job delivering. Lashley walked away as the World Champ. I guess I don't mind it, still would rather have Drew Galloway as the champ.

I wish TNA would do more PPVs though. It makes their product seem like a bigger deal. Does anyone know why they haven't looked into iPPV  yet? Maybe they have a deal with the cable companies. Who knows. Good show though. Had alot of fun!

I gave Slammiversary a go, still not sure why.

X-Division Title Match
Really good, fast paced, energetic match to start the show. Some crazy flips, dives in this match and then Eddie Edwards wins with a roll-up. Fucking hell-fire.

Impact Zone is packed tonight.

Grado & Shera vs. The Tribunal
An audible & visually assault on your senses. Bad wrestling at its best. Al Snow constantly blowing a whistle to get heat, it just made me skip to the end. The Tribunal are not very good. This is how shit they are, their finisher is a tag move, Hart Foundation were doing 25 years ago. Grado & Shera are just awful as well, why was this even on PPV?

3 Way Women's Title Match
Women's match was alright. They didn't do much wrong and it was fairly interesting. Interferences galore though at the end.

James Storm vs. Braxton Sutter
Impromptu match that was like an exhibition. Gives Storm something to do to pay for his bumper contract deal. Braxton Sutter is about as sincere as Salvatore.

Bram vs. Eli Drake
Fell asleep through the King of the Mountain title match. Didn't miss much. Finish was stupid. Bram hit his finisher again, Eli Drake rolled out of the ring. Bram threw him back in, then Drake popped back up, hit his finisher and won.

Mike Bennett vs, EC3
Mike Bennett is wearing some horrible mustard coloured tights. Neither of these can hold my attention for long, I started looking at crockery sets to buy. There was a ridiculous part in the match where EC3 was about to win but Maria threw a chair in the ring. EC3 and the referee walked her back up the aisle. EC3 gets back into the ring and then just climbed onto Bennett's shoulders so he could hit his finisher onto a chair. No eye rake or kick to the gut to set it up, I will just climb on your shoulders so you can do your move. You might as well have a message on the screen telling you "This is fake."

Brothers jump off things for 20 minutes.

Decay vs. Bro-Mans
Pretty good match. Abyss is really shit at wrestling. He has no psychology for a big man. He bumps off everything, clotheslines, forearms. He even took a bump when Rosemary (140lb woman) was thrown out of the ring onto him & Crazy Steve. The Bro-Mans' valet is bloody gorgeous though. They provided most of the fire in the match, good amount of intensity and heat to keep the tempo up.

Lashley vs. Drew Galloway
I like how Bobby Lashley thinks getting a personality is putting a sweat band on his head. Galloway comes out channelling William Wallace with his kilt on. Lashley is an impressive athlete, he's just so dull. He can't sell for shit either, he just wobbles around. Galloway tries his best but his aggression looks so ham-fisted. There was a spot where he did a somersault flip to the outside onto Lashley who was on a table. Lashley moved, Galloway goes splat. He eventually gets back up bleeding from his forehead even though his back hit the table. Galloway is trying to work athletic big man style like Undertaker does. He even did the hair flick to show of his blade-job. Unfortunately Galloway is a lot more awkward and less co-ordinated than the Deadman. Galloway even attempted a Tombstone Piledriver which was shamefully shit as he got the timing all wrong. What was even worse, the zombified crowd rose from their slumber to chant "This is awesome" with not a hint of irony. Match was OK for what it was. Probably pushing 3 stars if you're into ratings.

I think you were way to harsh on that show Rossman 😋 I thought it was pretty solid all the way through. Nothing really terrible on the show, bar the Al Snow match, didn't really care for that one.

There were 2 good matches, 2 OK matches and then a load of rubbish. Braxton Sutter walking in on a James Storm interview and that evolves into a singles match was farcical. How much was this show, $50? You can get the whole first season of Lucha Underground in HD cheaper than that.

Yeah you make some valid points. Had fun watching it though , I was just bored so I bought it. Yeah it was fifty bucks, I already have the full first season btw.  Boredom will do weird things to a man, like make him buy a TNA ppv.

You don't think Lashley has improved at all?

Season 2 is $40. I think there is only 25 episodes to this season.

The strange thing about Lashley is that even though he's a legit MMA fighter, I can't buy him as a dominating killer. Nothing he does looks like it hurts. The promo & personality side of him is really lacking. He needs a manager like Brock Lesnar has.
