No surprise, that gimmick got him massively over. He only had 2 options really, use this gimmick that people loved or do his intellectual gimmick. Both would work outside of WWE whilst getting the fans straight on his side - can't just live on name value (not like he's a huge name).
It's a fun one though, and he was good at it. Just wondering how long it will be until he's wrestling in NJPW.
He's gonna be at WhatCulture Pro Wrestling shows in July too which is great for them.
