Russo cracks me up. He's so deluded that it's funny. He's like Vince in thinking "I want to do this, and I'm a fan - therefore, fans want this".
I bet he's asking for an absolute fortune as well, all for an opinion that no one wants to hear. Surely he's made enough money from robbing previous companies by earning a wage, that he doesn't need to do this anymore.
So, remember when Spike cancelled their TV contract with TNA. One of the reasons was because Vince Russo was still secretly being employed as a consultant in TNA even though Spike wanted no part of Russo.
Fast forward to TNA getting a deal with Destination America. Russo thought it was in his best interests to tell them what a bag of shit they have signed and they need a wrestling consultant to tell them what is good and bad about Impact each week because they didn't know. When they told him to fuck off, undeterred he did the same thing with PopTV. And neither they wanted the Russo stench on them. After all the times, TNA (Dixie) kept bringing him back, he does a big dump on their head.
Russo being a grade A bellend, admitted the above on his own podcast probably in his latest attempt at getting ratings or because he's such an obnoxious twat he thinks he's right. But you know, he's found god now so its alright. When things went south, he pulled the podcast from his website. Then did another podcast saying how all these nimrod fans were wrong. Because he knows the USA network hired a consultant to watch RAW in the early 2000's. If they can do it, why can't he....
Maybe because noone in the wrestling business wants to pay Vince Russo for his opinion. He went to the tapings of Lucha Underground last year just to hang out according to him. A cynic would say he's looking for a job (which was confirmed by Disco Inferno). But whilst he was there, he told Konnan they need to bring Chyna in. He has no clue. He's a relic of the car-crash 90's era and now can't live without the wrestling business. Stalking his old employers new business associates for a job is just weird.
