It's not an immenent retirement, but she's announced that she will definitely be retiring this year.

One piece of news related to this was that her career only began 2 years before joining WWE. I thought she was a wrestler for a long time before then. Not sure why, but I always did.

Kim began her career in 2000 and joined WWE in 2002, winning the Women's Title in her debut match. She joined TNA in 2011 and won their Women's Title six times, along with their Women's Tag Team Championships. She was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame last year.

She's always been pretty good when I've seen her wrestle though. Definitely one of the better women wrestlers in recent memory and one that I wouldn't have minded coming back to WWE.

I would not be surprised if WWE have tried to get Gail Kim back. Heck, this could even be a work! She retires from Impact only to show up at WWE a month or so later! Still, I do agree, she's been one of the consistently better women wrestlers of the last decade and a half, so I think she does deserve to retire before injuries force her out...

If she goes to WWE, it'd probably only be as Performance Centre coach.

She's had some serious injuries hasn't she? Can't blame her for retiring as you gotta look after your health. She could probably be a good coach. Some of the women in WWE need it, so get her in when she retires, I say. Help them out. Then again, I'm sure they're thinking the same at Impact Wrestling with themselves.

She rejoined TNA in 2011, but she was a prominent member of the roster before that. Being the first Knockouts Champion and putting the division on the map.
