I'd happily take him at Newcastle, but he's meant to have quite a price on his head... so would rather we looked elsewhere.

No offense but he'd be pretty stupid going to Newcastle lol. Going from a team that almost got relegated to a team that DID get relegated and have just come back up doesn't make sense. If he goes anywhere, it'll be to a top 8 club, but he won't go anywhere else. Wouldn't make sense for him to move to a new club, new city, for the same level of football.

You forget who we have as manager. We signed Prem players last year all because they wanted to learn from Rafa. The guy can sign anyone provided we can afford them. Unless of course we're bidding with a team in the top 8 and then who could blame him for wanting European football.

Although I imagine that if Gifi leaves Swansea, it would likely be his last move (maybe second to last at most) and so would want a cracking wage to go with it. Another reason I'd rather we looked elsewhere, even though he is a great player.

One for you Rhys. Malaga could look to replace Everton target Sandro Ramirez with Swansea forward Borja Baston. Must make you happy. But wait, there's more. You'd be looking to replace him with Emmanuel Adebayor. It's like swapping one donkey for another.

Yeah I heard we are gonna swap Bafetimbi Gomis for Adebayor - seems like an odd choice, but Gomis is doing nothing for us, so I don't see what we have to lose honestly.

As for Baston, they can have him. Biggest waste of £15m you've ever seen, he's literally scored 1 goal all season.

Everton have just spent over £50m in one day. Pickford was confirmed earlier today. And they've just confirmed Klaassen from Ajax for nearly £25m. They mean business this year it seems.

We're being heavily linked with Robertson from Hull. News that I'm firmly on board with. Brilliant player with loads of potential. Get it happening!

Everton have apparently bid the £25m we wanted for Michael Keane. They money they're spending is getting mad. Will be sad to see him go, but £25m for a player with a year left on his contract that won't sign a new one. Happy days!

Well we sold Keane. £30m, so even better than what initial reports said. Proof, if anyone wanted any, that transfer fees are getting really out of proportion. £30m for a defender in his last year of contract, that as highly as I rate him, it's not like he's world class. £17m for Maguire. £20m for Ake who's played about 15 Prem games.

There's not been any transfer so far where I've thought that the player has cost a reasonable price for their talent. Except for maybe Jay Rodriguez. (not including free transfers either)

Man Utd and Chelsea are slugging it out for Lukaku. Both have apparently bid £75m, with Everton wanting more like £90m to make up for what they've spent so far. There were reports earlier on that Conte was furious about Man Utd going ahead of them in bids for Lukaku and demanding that Chelsea hierarchy bid for him as well as that's who he wants leading the line next season instead of Costa, who for some reason he doesn't like.

We're being linked with some shit at the moment. We've also signed some shit, like paying £3m for Walters, who is 33 and not exactly someone you would class as good or being able to improve your team.

So, question for Rhys. Is Cork any good? Worth £10m? Would be nice to sign someone that could actually make an improvement on what we have, or at least add some proper competition.

Swansea midfielder Jack Cork is in talks with Burnley about a £10m switch, according to the Daily Mirror.

He's a great player. Solid in midfield, helps the train keep chugging so to speak. I hope we don't sell him to you though, and I'm glad it's the Daily Mirror reporting it which probably means its BS.

Actually it's on BBC, so it looks like it's happening. Well, you got yourself a good player. Congratulations.

Man Utd have spent upwards of £90m on Lukaku. He's like joint second or possibly THE second highest transfer ever. Crazy.

Chelsea are apparently turning towards Morata from Madrid, who was Man Utd's first choice but wouldn't pay £80m for him.

We've signed Cork. Was confused earlier when my mate started talking about how he's glad we've got him back. Got him back? Yeah, turns out we have him on loan 7 years ago haha. Totally forgot about that, just didn't link it up at all. A lot has changed at the club since then though.

BREAKING NEWS

Gylfi Sigurdsson will not travel with the rest of the Swansea squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.

Looks like he's off. Shame he's well out of our price range. Like massively so.

Looks like he's off to Everton for 50m. I'm not happy. He's indispensable.

They're going to have hell of a team if they keep this up. Always figured he'd suit a team like Man Utd, as from what I've seen he's good enough. With how Everton are going this Summer though, they mean business, like they want top 4 and nothing lower will do.

Almost God like? Maybe...

Siggy is good, but not top 4 quality. He'd be decent for Everton, but will only maintain their current position of 6/7th.

Spurs look like they're selling the clubs 2nd choice right back for a world record fee for a defender. Not bad considering trippier had replaced him at the end of the season, and, is 4 years younger and is a player City released for nothing a few years ago. Fantastic business for a player who turns 29 soon.

He's better than he's ever been. As a set piece specialist, he could easily put away double figures at a top 4 club. Plus he creates a plethora of assists. I'm not saying he can bring Everton to 4th, but I do think he can hang in a top 4 team.

He was decent when he played at a big club, but couldn't hold down a regular place. I liked him, but he wasn't quite good enough.

Says it all that we were looking at him to strengthen our bench... he's not close to eriksen or dele, and I wouldn't have him over son or lamela either tbh. Not as quick or incisive as son (and gets no where near as many goals) and doesn't put in the work rate of lamela.

He's decent and should be in a team in the Europa league. Can't see him in the champions league tho.

Your judging him on his performance that are like three years old or older. How many of his games have you actually watched the last couple seasons? He's been our player of the season the last two years because he's improved magnificently as a player. He could easily get into a top 4 first team and make an impact. Spurs never used him enough and that was their loss, because he came to use and now he's on a different level. Gylfi is a better set piece specialist than most players in the Premier League and not only that but he is great in general at creating chances. In fact the only one I'd rank above him for being a set piece specialist is Christian Eriksen, so maybe he wouldn't be first choice in that aspect for Spurs but luckily, Spurs aren't the only team that can get a top four place.

Sigurdsson could play in pretty much any team in the Prem. He's improved massively in the last few seasons. I think their valuation of his is correct.

Kyle Walker is saying that his only reason for joining Man City is because he wants to win something... not for the massive pay rise he'd be getting. Seems to suggest that he has no confidence in Tottenham winning anything. If they can improve on last season, I reckon they've more of a chance than Man City, who's answer once again is to throw money at their problem before they realise how overrated their manager is. Must be tough moving on from managing two teams that are arguably two of the best three teams in the world with players that are regularly up for best player in football.

I pretty much agree with him. I don't see Spurs winning any Premier League in the next few years at least.

I don't see Man City winning it either. Not with how they waste money. Like let's get rid of our best keeper, waste £17m on someone who concedes almost every shot on target, then play your second choice for the rest of the season before blowing over £30m on another keeper. If that's how they're going to do things, they aren't winning anything.

PSG have named Sanchez and Neymar as their top targets. Sanchez has a year left on his Arsenal contract and apparently wants Champions League football, which is something Arsenal can't give him this season. So do they cash in, or let him go for free at the end of the season? Will he sign a new contract with the club no longer firmly a top four team?

The Neymar one is funnier. Barcelona president has said that there's absolutely no way he's leaving, they won't accept it and all that. Which is funny, because all the reports are saying that PSG are meeting his release fee, so Barcelona would have absolutely no say in whether he stays or not. They have to accept that bid if it's true. What make it even funnier is that the release fee is meant to be £195m (over 220m Euros). So more than double the current world record transfer. If this happens all the monkeys at FIFA will be scratching their heads again as they try to work out just what they meant by Financial Fair Play.

Swansea want to resign Bony if reports are true. Must make you happy Rhys. Granted, he's not been as good since leaving, but he's still a good striker. With a club that has the confidence in him to go out there and do his thing, he'll be back to doing what he was doing at Swansea the first time around.
