Former NFL star Rob Gronkowski close to signing deal with WWE
The former Patriots tight end, who is currently a football analyst for Fox Sports, is "deep in talks" with WWE, Ryan Satin reported on WWE Backstage. Though it remains unclear in what capacity Gronk would be used, Satin says he could appear as early as the March 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Know absolutely fuck all about him, What do people think? Coming in as a wrestling analyst?

Main Event · 798 commentsLol this is silly. But it’s the WWE. Probably the second best TE of all time, could have been the best but he had a lot of injury issues. Took a beating. So if he plans on competing, I’m sure he’ll get hurt. If he’s commentating.......that just seems stupid. If he’s managing, they’d need strong booking. I’m curious but it seems stupid

He has appeared in ring before. He once helped Mojo Rawley win the Andre Memorial Battle Royal. One move, but still 😋

Who is better than him? Are you going to say Tony G? There are arguments for both, but when Gronk is healthy he is one of the biggest match up nightmares of all time.

Main Event · 798 commentsTony G is the correct answer! Gronk is fantastic but had Brady and Belichick. He joined a dynasty that already had 3 Super Bowls.
Tony Gonzalez had essentially nothing. He was the Kansas City Chiefs. He had crazy stats for a TE before it was even a thing. Not too mention the inflation of stats now, with defensive players not being able to do half of what they used to be able to do. He was good then and up until he retired. Missed 2 games in his 17 year career. That’s a monster.
