I've very much been enjoying the G1 this year. For starters my big pick to win everything is ZSJ. However, there have been some people I've really enjoyed watching. Great-O-Khan is becoming a favorite along with staples like Okada and Sanada. Plus it's great seeing G.OD. in Singles action.
I really need to get into NJPW. I've always wanted to, but there's so much wrestling and so little time. I think I'll make it a goal to catch WrestleKingdom next year and try and keep up lol

Yeah I've been enjoying the Great-O-Khan too. Good look, good presence and I like his entrance. Ishii's another one who's really impressed me in the G1 so far. He's always been pretty cool to watch and you know shit's getting real when he comes out, but it's like he's gone into a higher gear for this year's G1. Really loved his match with Takagi on Night 1.
I hear you Rhys, only so many hours in the day! Thankfully with NJPW you can get by with only watching the PPV-style shows. They don't have a Raw equivalent really (though there's NJPW Strong from their LA dojo), kinda works like 80s WWF where you have mainly house shows and things happen there to move the story along. Then you have the big PPV style shows, and the video packages at the start of the match easily catch you up.
What's really cool is that their PPV shows are on in the morning for us! It's great getting up on a Saturday morning and watching the show live. I subscribe to their NJPW World, and it's about £6 a month, which includes all the PPVs just like the Network.

I hear they did a great story last year with KENTA and the US title briefcase on NJPW Strong. That would have been fun to watch.
I have to say the shocker of the G1 for me so far has to be Chase Owens getting a victory over Hiroshi Tanahashi. It was a good match too. Very well executed.
