New Shows starting this Summer
Well, with the main Shows all premiering in the Fall, Summer is often a pretty quiet place on my Sky+ Box, with only a few things like Continum, Falling Skies etc making the list, Hannibal is a nice addition to this, but looking at what other new shows are starting this Summer...
Id Just like to add, it doesn't mean I am looking forward to these unless its Whose Line Is It Anyway... Before Hilds starts having a go at me showcasing crap again.. I can only show you what is out there hahaa
Under the Dome already got its own thread, so moving quickly on....
Whose Line Is It Anyway
Well This was always a favourite of mine growing up, so I am looking forward to this, to see if it can recapture some of the glory days, without Drew Carey in the helm. Has Colin Mochrie gone senile? Can Wayne Brady still come up with a rhyme for "Batman" while making up a song in the style of '50s swing? Will Ryan Stiles ever get the praise he deserves? Will host Aisha Tyler make sense of the nonsensical points system? (It doesn't matter.)

Low Winter Sun
This is being made by AMC, and although it is a remake from a older British Series, I am willing to give it a go based on their success with Walking Dead...
A Detroit detective thinks he's gotten away with the perfect crime of killing another D-town cop, buuuuuuuut not so fast—the murder draws him into the criminal underworld of Detroit! As you know, that's not what cops are supposed to do. The show is based on the British series of the same name. And it has two of the best recently jobless actors in David Costabile (Breaking Bad's Gale) and Lennie James (The Walking Dead's Morgan)!
Graceland
It's like The Real World: Secret Agents! Undercover agents from different branches of law enforcement (FBI, CIA, DEA, etc.) live together in a beach house where they bust bad guys and work on their tans. Part comedy, part police drama, this series from White Collar creator Jeff Eastin might be USA's next hit

Ray Donavon
When there's a dead tranny hooker... sleeping in your bed... who you gonna call? RAY DONOVAN! Ray is the fixer Hollywood hotshots look to when they're in deep trouble. But Ray has problems of his own—err, make that one big problem: his dad who just got released from prison.

The Bridge
Based on a Swedish series, The Bridge follows two detectives—an American lady and a Mexican señor Mexican—as they hunt down a serial killer who operates on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border

Was a great show back in the 80's when it started over here with Clive Anderson. The American's took it over there and made it pretty poor, with a lot of the improvisations being scripted, and now it's being redone again. From the 3 minute clip I watched, it looks like the songs are still scripted and pre-written, and the woman hosting seems to be the usual lame, pointless female "comedian" that usually fronts these kind of shows (when will TV learn that women arn't funny! Name one decent female commedian...). Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie (damn, how old has he got...) are always good and will make it, at least watchable, but this will be pretty bad. They should have put Mochrie on the hosting chair (Stiles is too good to take out of the panel). On the plus side, Drew Carey has gone.

Never watched the English version, but I like Lenny James a lot, so might try this. Hoping it's more Luther than Dexter tho. Be interesting to see if America can do gritty.

Looked like typical American rubbish tbh. Wisecracks from the hero "it's my first day" he says with a smirk. Think I'll pass on this, and hope for something with a bit more substance.

Ok, from the clip this series has made it onto my "want to watch" list. Very excited. Great cast (Liev Schribber has been decent in everything I've seen him in, and was the best thing about Scream, other than Wes Craven) and Jon Voight looks like he could be made for this role.
It's a little bit formulaic and I've seen this type of story played out before, but the initial clip and cast will bring me in for the first 2 or 3 episodes and after that, it had better be good!

Looks ok. These kind of series are all over the place at the minute after the success of The Killing. I'll give the pilot a chance, but mainly because Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs is in it.

Tina Fey is quite funny, dunno if she does stand up but she writes really funny scripts. Otherwise I agree with you 100%.

Only seen her in 30 Rock, and only seen about 7 or 8 episodes of that. She's ok, but I wouldn't say she is good. From the small amount of episodes I've seen she isn't a funny character, most of the humour seems to come from Alex Baldwin, but maybe she's funnier in other episodes. I know she's the writer and producer of the series, so maybe that's her skill set, but I'm still struggling to think of a decent female comedian.
