No mercy is an amazing wrestling game... but better ones have come out.
Castlevania is a true classic... fantastic atmosphere.. classic monsters... one of the best and most memorable soundtracks of all time.
It would be sad to see Castlevania go out in round 1.
I really love both these games and both of them deserve to go to the next round - alas, the luck of the draw means one of them won't.
I'm voting for ... screw it, I can't decide, so I flipped a coin.
Castlevania won the coin flip and gets the vote.

When I saw wrestle mania 2000 in another spit in this contest all I could think was, nah, no mercy will be getting my vote ... then you put it up against castlevania ... you bastard. Lol.
Castlevania gets my vote.
Castlevania wins 4-1.

Welcome to the Greatest Nintendo Game of All Time contest, first round.
The matchups were randomly decided.
I will put the matches up every other day, and each round will be open for three days (so there'll probably be 2 or 3 matches taking place at any one time). I want to get through the first round as quickly as possible.
ROUND ONE, MATCH FOURTEEN
WWF No Mercy (N64)
WWF No Mercy is a professional wrestling video game released in 2000 on the Nintendo 64 console and published by THQ. No Mercy is the follow-up to 1999's WWF WrestleMania 2000, and the last WWF game released for the Nintendo 64. No Mercy was well received by players and critics alike. Despite suffering memory issues with cartridges upon release, the game is widely considering one of, if not the, greatest WWE game to date, due to it's extensive create-a-wrestler mode, with a plethora of customizable options, improved and impressive graphics for the time, and an in-depth, branching storyline Championship mode.
Castlevania (NES)
Castlevania is an action-platformer video game developed and published by Konami. It was ported to cartridge format and released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in May 1987 followed by a European release in 1988. The game takes place in the year 1691 where players control Simon Belmont who is tasked with defeating the vampire Dracula. Castlevania was met with critical reception, and was a financial success. It is considered an NES classic by PC World, while Nintendo Power and Game Informer ranked it in their best video games list (at 22 and 48 respectively). IGN ranked it 19 among their favourite NES games.
