Superman/Batman film is happening

Phantoms like a mother fucker!!!

This is serious! Something needs to be done.....

I'm probably the only person who liked Affleck as Daredevil.

But Daredevil (the character) is whatever. This is Batman we're talking about!!!

Affleck as Daredevil was the only good thing about the film as his acting was better than the poor script should have let him be..

Still begs the question of the mixing universes though aswell...

But then also you have Affleck who is 41 years old going up against Cavill who is 30 years old, so Batman will definitely be the elder and senior of the 2

You have to believe that Affleck will be a really good Bruce Wayne and will fit into and relish the role as he dons the suit... the tuxedo that is... as his acting has got alot better since Armageddon etc but the one place that the comparisons are hard to reach for is when he has to don Bruce Waynes other suit...

I think if Affleck was announced as director then fans would have been more accepting than they are of him being announces as the star.. As a director he has surpassed anything he has done as an actor and Argo was he best achievment to date..

I guess on a lighter note though he has already played Superman (well he played George Reeves the original 1950's actor who played Superman and then couldnt get work after it and ended up killing himself... and thus began the curse of Superman) in hollywoodland.. so atleast he already knows Supermans weaknesses haha

I don't even know if I'll buy him as Bruce Wayne. Something about his voice just won't do it or me

Posted some initial thoughts here - Ben Affleck as Batman, could it work?

I'm willing to roll with it, see how he is. He could surprise us all, even if I can't picture him as Bruce Wayne or Batman.

I'm keeping an open mind.  I'm sure we all remember the nerd rage that greeted the announcement that Heath Ledger would be playing the Joker.  And look how that turned out!  And there was nerd rage over Michael Keaton's casting as Batman.

I can understand the nerd rage, but I'm staying neutral for now.  I'll wait until I see the first few official pics and the trailer to get a taste of it, then watch the film before making up my mind.

He was good in Argo.

So it appears that Wonder Woman will be making an appearance in this film. Going to be played by Gal Gadot who's stared in 3 Fast & Furious films.

I dunno how I feel about this. I guess I'm glad Wonder Woman is finally gonna hit the big screen but I thought the casting be iconic. Like you guys said though, trying to keep an open mind

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Wonder Woman is barely in this or goes by her real name and is some Ambassador or something and only in the film briefly and leading the way to a sequel with more Justice League members... or She will be who makes peace between Bats and Supes.

Heard those Doomsday rumors floating around... it's too soon to try killing Superman in a movie... why not just keep these kinda movies going on like 007, i don't want Batman to go back to reboots all the time, i like what they are trying to do here by creating a universe in the DC films.

Hopefully this will be a good movie though.

As much as I'd like to see Doomsday, I agree I think it's much too soon to kill Superman. They gotta do this superman/batman movie and then have lex be the villain for a movie or two

Yeah I can see this too.  I'm getting pretty excited for this film!  I've heard rumours about a Nightwing appearance as well.

And of course there's Guillermo del Toro's talk of a Justice League Dark film.  He said he's got the story sorted and it features Constantine, Deadman, Zatanna, Swamp Thing and a few others.  I love DC's supernatural line, so I'd love it if he got to make this!!
