I think I joined here in 2002, and it was the first forum I ever joined. 15 years later, one MA and one PhD later, I have just published my first monograph. It's about wrestling (obviously). I haven't spent much time here for years, but this was the first place I wrote about wrestling in public, and I learned a lot here when I was essentially still a kid. So thanks!

From a fellow writer (or so I like to think), congratulations on you finishing your book! Bit out of my price range, mind you 😋

Hey that's really really cool! My initial thought when reading this title was, "I am going to buy whatever this book is," but I was expecting it to be like $50 max. Huge mega congrats about turning your passion for wrestling into a real life thing! Living the dream! 😄

The academic book market is...odd. It's mostly sold to university libraries rather than direct to market, and it's not how I would personally like to sell it but it is what it is. If it sells well enough they'll do a paperback version. There are other ways of reading it, if people are interested...
