Annoyingly a few years ago the activate email option broke and so the link in the sign-up email didn't actually register as being verified even though it activated accounts. I've removed the "must verify email" part of the forum so you should be able to make changes now since it's no longer a requirement.

Hey, how do I verify my account? Do I need an admin to help me?
Been trying to change the time zone and format as it's annoying me, but when I save it, it does not remember and it highlights that I've not verified my email.
