Concert Thread

I already went to Fall Out Boy this past May and I'm going to Lil Wayne in like two weeks

My daughter wants to go see Lil Wayne when he comes here in a month or so. I won't buy the tickets based on my hatred of everything about him. It makes me sad that people think this rap now is good. They never got to experience the East/West feuds that not only provided regular murders, but insanely good music. It's all so mainstream and it's not nearly as good as it was before. Rap beefs now are put together for attention or it involves no talent pussies like Chris Brown and Drake. Back in the day it was Tupac fucking Biggie's wife. Now it's rapper A said he didn't like rapper B's music. Sad, sad, sad.....

Lil Wayne is garbage. One of the worse music artists of all time. Right up there with the likes of Nickelback and Justin Bieber.

Take that back. They've done some really good songs. Granted, some have been poor, but they've done some great ones as well. I loved listening to Silverside Up back in the day, and The Curb (their first album) is good as well.

I went to see Killswitch Engage in May in Cardiff. It was fantastic, never been in an atmosphere like it and so I'm definitely going to go to more concerts more often.

I've only ever been to one concert... can't say they're my thing really. I did enjoy the one I went to though, it was held in Home Part (Plymouth Argyles stadium). Meatloaf, baby! He was great.

Lil Wayne is huge and his music is pretty good. That being said I actually hate him myself and agree with what everyone's basically said about him. It was a birthday gift for my girlfriend and of course I have to go to.

Plus he has face tattoos. If there was ever a guy batting 1.000 in life, it's the guy with a fucking spider permanently painted on his face. Fuck that guy and his shitty ass music.

Just saw Kiss last Friday...yeah, they're old as dirt, but they still put on a great live show. Must be the Geritol.

Hard to disagree. I think he's high on something 99% of the time and he sounds like a fucking idiot a majority of the time. I'm dreading the crowd that shows up more than anything bc they're just too young and too stupid and security does absolutely nothing. I swear someone can die of alcohol poison and no one would know til the cleanup crew comes in. He does look like a jackass but I can't take his music away from him, he's got great lyrics and beats so I can tolerate him. But I'm definitely NOT looking forward to going

I want to put my 2 cents in that Lil Wayne is the worst and i'm pretty sure he takes it up the wrong hole. However, he's made some really good songs if you can get past his strange voice. And Chris Brown and Drake are far from talent less although the are both pussies.

Drake sucks. All he does is try to talk sexy in his "songs".
Chris Brown can sing but he jumps up and does roundhouse kicks for absolutely no reason at all when he "dances"

And yes, they are both huge pussies.

Next weekend i'm gone friday till monday in Chicago for a 3 night Phish run. staying at a hotel  and going to be in the city i don't think any of you live there.

of course i won't be gone though not with wifi and cell phones.

Going to see Bon Jovi live in Melbourne, Australia on 8th Dec.  So excited!

Can't believe only one post was made since my last post... anyways i guess i could just quote my last post since it's pretty much the same thing... July 18th-20th in Chicago, for Phish... hope the weather isn't bad this time...

first night last year the venue made everyone leave midshow cause a storm was moving in... it's ok it was a nasty storm and didn't really let up until about 2 am... so the show was done and the band played 3 sets the following night... it rained but it was a mellow rain.

final night was going good until the heaviest rain i ever felt came crashing down on me from every direction.... it's amazing that my backpack became soaked with water and everything inside was wet except our phones which i put into a plastic bag that housed my peanut butter sandwich earlier....

it looked something like this... we left as this song was fading out... could barely see... and it was just like 45 mins in... what a waste of money. 🙁  on a side note in the video it's kinda funny watching the road crew hurry up to cover up the stage with tarps... they got pulled off the stage after this song anyways... there are other videos on youtube that probably capture how bad the rain really was better... but i just went with this one after a couple mins you can see the gusts of water.

wow only one who has posted since my last post over a year ago and my new post is similar to that of my previous in this thread...

I went to see Phish again! last weekend in my hometown of all places so that was really nice... we had an amazing time, i said this the day after last sundays show... but i still stand by it out of hundreds of shows i've been to and dozen or so Phish shows i've seen.... that sunday concert was the most amazing greatest show i've ever attended.
it was one of those events you'll never forget 20 years later.

Just wanted to share my memory with everyone... i'd post videos and pictures too but i know nobody else is really into Phish here but me... but that's all good if you read this and perhaps smiled a bit or even laughed and shook your head.... it works for me 🙂

We have a concert hall by us now, way out in the middle of no where. Oddly enough we get a fair share of good acts there. Up and coming rock acts that are just making it on the radio. But we've had Saliva there and Saving Abel. But the bands i went and saw last night were awesome! I Prevail was the headliner and the rest were opening act. But I Prevail has became big on the radio because of their rock cover of Taylor Swift's blank space.

Some songs by the bands. They rocked. The venue is awesome. It can only hold about 700 people and it literally is in the middle of nowhere. Surround it are farm fields. But the place gets packed!

Everyone's plans probably fell through this year huh? I wanted to see RATM and Rammstein this year now who knows when we'll have shows again. I was lucky enough to see Tool and Idles last year though.

I was meant to see Catfish and the Bottlemen in May. It got cancelled twice and now it’s happening May 2021.

I also plan to see Bring Me The Horizon next September.

Was hoping to see Nightwish last week. Sad times...
