Upgrades

Okay, so after a few more tests, it seems that something I've done since the site's been up means that you can't post more than 3 links into a post without getting an error. On the basic forum you can, so it's something I've done.

So until I work it out, no posting more than 3 links into one post.

Damnit, I had just written out a post of about 2,000 words with 4 links in it.  Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Feel free to try and post it. Just make sure you copy what you're writing first.

Been trying to upload an avatar to the site but it keeps telling me the file is to big. Its just a tad to big I found out, how do I fix that?

I have tried 5 times to make a post in the thread about your favorite popstar and every time i get an error. I thought Id try later, but first I made a post in the same music section and when it worked I figured I would be in the clear. Nope, went back to the popstar thread and the forum had a stroke on me.

There is no codes, no links, just text in my post btw. Its like MAYBE 3 sentences long.

I had that problem in a thread other day... i kept getting the 'you broke the site bro' message

So i copied my post and then posted a repky containing just a single letter which worked then went and editted my post and pasted my original text and it all was fine

I know hilds had same issue in another thread and i got him to do the 1 letter repky then edit the post and that worked for him aswell

When you get it, PM me and I'll pass you my email address. I can then test it out. It's certain word combinations, but I need to find out what they are to address it.

Does it seem that is only people from the UK having these problems or something? Because I'm not having any problems...

This is quite strange and I dunno if it's always been like this but I can't edit my posts. Is it meant to be like this cos I could swear I've edited my posts before here.

Might be part of the upgrade I did over the weekend. I'll check it out, I can't see why it would affect anything like that.

I noticed that too. It's only the last couple of days its happened.

Yeah that'll be me as well. I need to redo the youtube one. I had a feeling it'd be a problem but was hoping that it wouldn't be.

I don't know if it's related or not, but some of the new post markers are coming back next time I visit the site. They'll clear when I read them, but occasionally some will pop back up, even when the latest post in a thread is mine! This has only started happening since you did whatever you did. Before that I had the opposite problem, all new post markers would clear when I left the site, even if I hadn't read them. That can get very annoying.

Yeah that'll be fixed soon as well as I've been getting that.

Okay, basically any problems that people have been having (most are sorted now) will all be gone by the time I update the whole forum. I'm using the latest edition for my trials and everything is working perfectly on there so once I've finished what I'm doing look wise I can load it all in and everything will work as it should.

Still having some problems with new posts. I come here, read a new post, leave, then it'll still say it's a new post when I come back. For some reason they're not always clearing between sessions. I've read Mad Dog saying "YES!" three times now.
