Anathema's "Distant Satellites" album. Slow building, unique sound. Reminds me of Dream Theatre.

I'm in a fun mood today so i'm listening to a bunch of cheerful music... here is a song i'm sure all of you may have heard at one point or another i know i did but i never knew what it was called or who it was by until the phish concerts a couple weeks ago when the drummer was singing it randomly out of the blue over another verse throwing the lead singer of the song playing off a bit and laughing...kinda odd... but it helped me out anyways and i remembered this tune from back in the day after that.

Trying out some new bands... the ones I like at first glance:

Falling in Reverse
Escape The Fate (heard them once before)

Any suggestions from anyone would be great. I'm looking at anything from soft rock to metalcore.

I've always wanted to try out some more Tonight Alive, but never get round to it. You may as well do it instead and let me know if they're any good! I like what I've heard so far, but that's not much.

Sent by Ravens is a great band I discovered last night. Granted I've only heard five songs but they are five great tracks.

Tonight Alive actually sound quite similar to Sent by Ravens, except with a male vocalist. I think you'll probably like them chux,

As for Tonight Alive - I listened to The Edge (from the Amazing Spider-Man 2), Lonely Girl, Wasting Away... and I have no complaints. Definitely adding them to my collection.

The good thing about both bands is they have a great rock sound that is also easy listening to a more casual listener. So everyone wins.

Love Ten. Great album. Had it in the CD changer in my truck a little while ago and I still think it stands up.  Especially Jeremy.

Can't get enough of that new song by The Weekend. Can't Feel My Face, it's such a damn catchy song. Also getting back into Nirvana a bit lately. Watched their Live in New York acoustic special again just now. Might watch Live at Reading now.

Breaking Benjamin have a new album out. So been listening to that and the two Tremonti albums (if you like Alter Bridge then you need to check them out, as it's their lead guitarist's side solo project)

I'm in a covers band at the moment, so I'm listening to all kinds of stuff. Right now ACDC, ZZ Top, Steelers Wheel, Muse and Free are towards the top of the list.

It wasn't the last bit of music i've heard but i was listening to NWA's Straight outta compton album the other week and it's a really good album even after all these years... it's actually interesting because i think i might have enjoyed it much more this last listen then i had a few years ago when i last listened to it.

The new movie probably is the cause of me deciding to listen to that album again, and it was worth it... haven't seen the movie yet though.
